Building Hope: New Primary School Project Launched in Lerangwa Village

We're excited to announce the launch of our most ambitious project yet: building a new primary school in Lerangwa village to serve 928 children who currently face severe overcrowding and limited educational resources.

During our annual 8-day run around Mount Kilimanjaro (280 km), we discovered Lerangwa village — a rural community facing a severe education crisis. The existing school has only 1 primary school for 928 pupils, with just 11 classrooms (only 8 usable) and only 6 teachers. There's no library, no food program, and unsafe buildings.

Children walk long distances, sit in overcrowded conditions, and many drop out early. This is unacceptable. Every child deserves access to quality education in a safe learning environment.

Our Solution

We're building a new primary school close to the existing one to reduce overcrowding and give children a safe learning environment. The project includes:

  • 8 modern classrooms
  • Administrative office
  • Safe toilets
  • A playground
  • Furnishings & study materials
  • Land for school expansion + community projects
  • Optional future library

Free Education Goal

We aim for 100% free education, including school fees, food program (lunch every school day), uniforms & books, and community-run sustainability projects (plantation, poultry, bakery, etc.).

The total project cost is USD $110,000, and we plan to begin construction as soon as we secure the first $50,000. Every donation brings us closer to transforming the lives of 928 children and their entire community.
